Alameda County Veterans Service Office

The Alameda County Social Services Department of Adult and Aging Services offers services for aging people who suffer from physical disabilities. The department provides in-home support services for blind and disabled individuals. It assists with bathing, feeding, dressing, laundry, meal preparation and other housekeeping activities. The department also provides protective services for adults with developmental disabilities and individuals who are financially abused, neglected and exploited. Located in Oakland, Calif., the Alameda County Social Services Department of Adult and Aging Services is a part of the Alameda County Social Services Agency, which is comprised of more than 2,300 men and women and works in association with several community-based organizations.
