Dr. Faysal Saab received his undergraduate degree in Psychobiology at UCLA and his medical degree at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He then completed a combined Internal Medicine & Pediatrics residency at UCLA, followed by a year as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine. He is passionate about delivering high quality, evidence-based, and family-centered care to adult and pediatric inpatients. His other clinical interests lie in bedside ultrasound, medical education, and global health, frequently attending and teaching at UCLA partner sites in Malawi.

Dr. Kesavan received her medical degree from the Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences, India. She completed a Pediatric Residency at Cook County Hospital, Chicago. Prior to joining UCLA as faculty in 2014, Dr. Kesavan completed her Neonatology Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore where she studied the effects of sedative-analgesics on breathing and thermoregulation.Dr. Kesavan's research interests are in Respiratory Control and Neuroprotection in Neonates. She was awarded the Children's Discovery and Innovation Institute's Seed Grant Award in Jan 2015, the Today's and Tomorrow's Children's Fund (July 2016), and the Little Giraffe Foundation NICU Support Grant (Oct 2016) to investigate novel means to support the immature breathing patterns in premature neonates and thereby improve overall outcomes in this vulnerable population. Dr. Kesavan's clinical interests are in the Early Detection of cerebral palsy using general movement assessments in high-risk infants in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).Dr. Kesavan provides clinical care in the NICUs at UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital, UCLA Medical Center Santa Monica, and Olive View Medical Center. She also provides outpatient care in the High-Risk Infant Follow-up clinics at Children's Health Center (200 Medical Plaza, Westwood) and Santa Monica (1260 15th St, Santa Monica).
