Advance Kids

Located in Sacramento, Calif., Advance Kids provides individualized assessment and program development for children with Autism. The centre offers educational services and workshops. Its educational services include functional assessments and behavior plans, data systems development, and analysis and curriculum consultation. It also includes staff development and trained classroom aides. The center offer various workshops, including basic behavior principles, discrete trials training and parent education classes that introduce parents to the process towards creating independence for children. It covers topics, including applied behavior analysis, effective teaching strategies, positive behavioral interventions and strategies to promote generalization. The Advance Kids is affiliated with The Treehouse, a nonprofit corporation that provides scholarships and training.
