History

Acupuncture & Wellness by Yu was founded in 2018 by Doctor Deok Yu. After being seriously injured during military training in South Korea in 1992, Dr Yu suffered for years with Low Back Pain with traditional treatment methods including surgery. When he was injured again in 1997, Dr. Yu decided to research alternative methods of healing. With help of Acupuncture treatments, Dr. Yu was able to go back to his normal life. Acupuncture quickly became a passion. Which Dr. Yu studied for years before deciding to share the knowledge gained with residents of Long Beach for 7 years. In Long Beach, Dr Yu has practiced Asian Medicine and Acupuncture to local patients as well as patients from Nevada, Arizona, New York, Mexico, and even from overseas countries. Dr. Yu moved to Fresno, became an Acupuncturist at Kaiser Permanente, Clovis, CA in 2014, then decided to open his private practice in March 2018.
