History

101/EXHIBIT was founded in 2008 by Sloan Schaffer in Miami, Florida. Named after its original location at 101 NE 40th St., the gallery represents emerging and established contemporary artists. Between 2012 and 2013, 101/EXHIBIT relocated to Los Angeles, California, where the gallery currently hosts an exhibition space. 101/EXHIBIT seeks to highlight the exploratory relationship between artist and audience. Producing shows that reveal something of the artist's creative process, the gallery fosters wide-ranging dialogues on art through catalogue publications and public programs such as artist's talks. The gallery's current emphasis is on artistic experimentation and process. Embracing abstraction, multimedia and installation, 101/EXHIBIT works with its artists on solo shows that reveal turning points within an artist's oeuvre.

Great exhibit space. I was able to make it back to see "Letters to Andy Warhol", and the owners were nice enough to let me park in their private lot given the mixup from my previous visit...Thank...
