Warren Middle School

The University of Arkansas, located in Monticello, Ark., provides a comprehensive system of four-year postsecondary education in southeast Arkansas. Its various colleges offer a wide variety of programs. Its business division offers majors in business administration management, accounts and computer information systems, and its education division offers majors, such as early childhood, teacher and physical education. The division of fine arts includes courses, such as studio art, commercial design and music, while its division of science offers majors in agriculture, biology, chemistry, computer information systems, criminal justice, mathematics and spatial information systems. University of Arkansas also offers several clubs and organizations on campus, and various sports, including wrestling, skiing, basketball, volleyball and softball.

Monticello Elementary School serves students in prekindergarten through grade two. The school s students participate in assemblies, programs, presentations and activities throughout the year. Its staff includes diagnostician, nurse, health aide and several cafeteria workers. The school also employs several paraprofessionals and speech therapists. Monticello Elementary School has a parent center that sponsors cultural events, family nights, science fairs and field days. The facility offers a variety of guidance services that include personal and crisis counseling, consultation and supervised peer mediation. Monticello Elementary School is based in Monticello, Ark.

Monticello Middle School is accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and holds classes for more than 450 students in grades six through eight. The school has a counseling center that emphasizes character and safety education, violence prevention, and tobacco, alcohol and drug resistance. The middle school has a library that has a collection of books that include fiction and nonfiction titles, as well as various databases, reference materials, magazines and newspapers. Monticello Middle School offers lessons in language arts, math, science, social studies and computer applications. The school is located Monticello, Ark.
