History

Founder Olympia Pakis comes from a long line of Greek-American entrepreneurs. Upon arriving in the US, her Yiayia's family made its way to Philadelphia, where, in 1895, they opened Stephano Bros. Tobacco Company. Starting with a mere $35, within a decade, it became the largest tobacco manufacturing company in the world. Stephano Brothers Building Today, the Stephano Brothers name pays proud homage to Olympia's family history and the industriousness of her immigrant ancestors. Stephano Brothers is dedicated to providing quality merchandise and excellent service; our business aesthetic combines education, a love of beauty, and an appreciation of history.
