Rockhouse Holler Farms

History

My interest in bees began as a child in the Ozark Mountains of Madison County. There were always bees around, and we hunted bee trees in the woods around the home place. Swarms were caught and kept in gums (a sort of hive made from a hollow gum log or from sawmill lumber nailed together). The honey harvest consisted of a dishpan filled with chunks of sweet honey-filed comb. Most all the old folks kept a hive or two around the place.

Rockhouse Holler Farms is a local provider of bees, honey, beekeeping supplies and pollination services. We serve Northwest Arkansas, and surrounding areas. Our primary products is nucs. A nuc is the best way to start a new bee colony.
