First Step, located in Hot Springs, Ark., offers programs and services to individuals with developmental disabilities. It has a staff of trained teachers and therapists who evaluate and organize programs according to the needs of individuals. The agency offers Early Intervention, a program for children that offers specialized care to assist in their development. First Step also offers a preschool program that provides basic skills lessons to children and prepares them for attending regular school. The agency also provides various therapies and assistance programs to school-going children. It offers various programs and services, such as supported employment, day programs and on-our-own living programs to adults with developmental disabilities.

Founded in 1996, Garland County Habitat for Humanity is a volunteer organization that offers a range of home construction services for families. It operates Habitat ReStore, which is a building material and home furnishing resale center that provides appliances, furniture items, dishes, pots, kitchen sinks, pans and commodes. Garland County Habitat for Humanity offers mortgage services. The organization has completed more than 65 homes.

Baptist Health located in Little Rock, Ark., is a nonprofit, health care organization providing skilled nursing and various other home health and rehabilitation services to the people of Arkansas. The organization offers various services, including, physical, speech and occupational therapies, home health aides and medical social workers. It also provides hospice programs, such as medications and medical equipment services. Additionally it provides treatment for various diseases, including liver, cardiovascular, pulmonary and renal diseases, and Alzheimer's diease, dementia and Lou Gehrig's disease. Its Telehealth program offers services, such as monitoring of blood pressure, pulse, temperature, weight, and blood sugar and oxygen levels.
