I chose internal medicine because it lets me engage with various kinds of medical conditions and provide the best approach to the patient care, focusing not only on treating chronic medical conditions but on preventive care. Long-term patient relationships are particularly compelling. I value the opportunity to educate my patients regarding their conditions, on different treatment options and to counsel them regarding their health and well-being. I listen to their concerns and I believe clear communication is key to building relationships. I always tell my patients to share your concerns so we can work together on your problems.
