Mamaka Bowls

History

Mamaka bowls began the moment our family left the summer home we had formed in Laguna Beach, California and realized we couldn't quite live without the acai bowls we had eaten every day for the past three months. We quickly realized that we needed to figure out how to make our own. After endless amounts of trial granolas and combinations of fruits to perfect the consistency and flavor, we finally nailed it. Carrie got convinced to start delivering the bowls to her daughter's lunch period junior year of high school and quicker than she could blend another bowl, she had lists of orders. After one year she was exhausted with her one man venture and called it quits. Four years later, KK started making them at her house in Fayetteville, AR and overnight had people ordering them from her doorstep. One summer later, they looked for spaces and let their hard work and creative energy take over and we are proud to call Fayetteville our official first home!

We strive to create a soulful, oceanfront culture through the inspiration we found from the surfers and their mid-day acai snack in Laguna Beach, California. Mamaka Bowls is here to not only be your smoothie and acai bowl hangout, your post-workout re-fuel or your afternoon treat, but your escape from reality.
