Helen Tyson Middle School

Helen Tyson Middle School operates under Springdale School District, and provides educational programs to more than 500 students in grades seven and eight. Its curriculum includes fine and performing arts, business, English, family and consumer science, math, science and social science. The school also offers classes in industrial and technical education and computer application. It offers special education programs to physically and mentally challenged students. It offers various extracurricular activities, such as music, arts, drama, games and sports. It organizes various events, including Halloween, homecoming, Christmas celebrations and a prom dance. The school offers a library/media center that offers more than 100 periodicals, newspapers and magazines. The Helen Tyson Middle School is accredited by Arkansas Department of Education and North Central Association. It is located in Springdale, Ark.
