Family Council

Pathfinder, established in 1971, is a private, nonprofit, community-based organization that provides a variety of services for the disabled. Its residential services include supervised living, intermediate care facilities, apartment living and rental assistance vouchers. The organization also provides vocational skills training, professional counseling, work opportunities, habilitation training, and protective and socio-legal services to adults. Through its preschool program, it offers individualized services to children with developmental disabilities. The organization is licensed by the Division of Developmental Disabilities Services, Division of Child Care & Early Childhood Education and the Division of Behavioral Health Services. It is also approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitative Facilities. Pathfinder is located in Jacksonville, Ark.

Founded in 1873, Arkansas Press Association is a nonprofit organization, serving the newspapers of Arkansas. It conducts an annual convention (summer), an annual advertising conference, a multi-state circulation conference each fall and numerous workshops and seminars during the year. Currently, there are 135 newspapers that are members of the association, 99 weeklies, six semi-weeklies, 28 dailies and two free newspapers. Additionally, the press association has more than 140 Associate Members, including suppliers, manufacturers, educators, individuals and media organizations. The Arkansas Press Association has two subsidiaries, Arkansas Press Services Inc. (APS) and the Arkansas Newspaper Foundation.
