Baptist Health Medical Center-Arkadelphia

Baptist Health Medical Center-Hot Spring County is a 72-bed community hospital with a long tradition of providing great patient care since it opened in 1923. The hospital joined Baptist Health Jan. 1, 2014, making it the eighth hospital in the system. The hospital offers comprehensive services including bariatric surgery, imaging (MRI, CT Scan, Digital Mammography), cardiology, general surgery, orthopedic services, physical therapy, psychiatric services, and sleep studies.

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, also known as UAMS, has more than 2,500 students in over five academic units. The university manages Area Health Education Centers in Fayetteville, Pine Bluff, El Dorado, Texarkana and Fort Smith in Arkansas. It offers interactive video education and medical consultation services to community hospitals. The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences manages a library and bookstore. The university operates the College of Medicine and the College of Nursing. Its outpatient clinics provide treatment for cancer and psychiatric conditions.
