Alma High School

Alma High School provides academic education and diplomas to students in grades nine through 12. The school enrolls more than 1000 students and is a part of the Alma School District. The school s curriculum includes English, mathematics, foreign languages, world history, psychology, science, social studies, and health and physical education. It also offers honors courses in biology, computer programming, chemistry, English and Spanish. Additionally, it offers courses in business and technology, such as accounting, desktop publishing, marketing management, multimedia and computer applications. The school also offers child development programs and courses in journalism. It has a library and media center that provides online referral sources and access to the Internet. It also offers various extracurricular activities to its students, such as drama, speech therapy, band, choir, drawing and crafts. Alma High School offers scholarships and various sports activities to its students, including football, baseball, basketball and tennis. It additionally offers the Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps program. The high school is located in Alma, Ark.
