Founded in 1938, Western National Parks Association is a nonprofit cooperating association of the National Park Service. Located in Arizona, the firm operates bookstores at 66 National Park Service sites throughout the western United States as well as an online store offering more than 600 educational products. Its range of publications includes various categories, such as field/travel guides, human histories, children's books, Southwestern/Native American culture and more. The association supports parks by producing more than a half million pieces of free literature annually, including trail guides, newspapers, schedules and brochures.
