History

Who is Verde Valley Community Hospice? Verde Valley Community Hospice was established by two passionately devoted firefighters, Trent Adams and Billy Hayes, who each have served for over three decades. Trent and his wife Sheila, a Registered Hospice Nurse, along with Billy, share the same passion to provide quality palliative end-of-life care throughout the Verde Valley community. It is a direct result of the nature of their years in the Fire Department of caring for those who have encountered traumatic events, that they understand how important it is to support those finding themselves in difficult situations. They have witnessed a multitude of fellow humans who have encountered unexpected & painful situations, such as the sudden death of a loved one, heart attacks and serious falls. This has driven them to create a hospice team based on Love & Compassion, which operates under a philosophy of Prevention, Education, Hope, and Care for one another during our end-of-life time.
