DM Federal Credit Union was originally chartered in 1955 to serve military members stationed at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Ariz. It is has become the largest credit union in southern Arizona. DM Federal Credit Union still serves the base, but its membership has expanded to include more than 1,800 additional groups such as businesses, colleges, churches and associations in and around Tucson, Phoenix and the Copper Basin area of Arizona. It has multiple branches to serve its 95,000 members, as well as 24-hour electronic banking services that include Home Banking 24 7, PhoneBank and ATMs. DM Federal Credit Union has assets of more than $800 million and is a full-service nonprofit financial cooperative. Deposits are federally insured up to $100,000 by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund, which is operated by the National Credit Union Administration, a United States government agency.
