Ruchi Shah, MD, is a board-certified rheumatologist specializing in autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, with a focus on rheumatology-dermatology overlap disorders. She has unique expertise in treating psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis and lupus, drawing from her background in both fields. Her clinical interests include complex autoimmune conditions affecting both the joints and skin. Dr. Shah takes a collaborative approach to patient care, recognizing that rheumatologic conditions can be challenging to diagnose and treat. She prioritizes active listening, coordinated care with specialists and shared decision making to ensure patients feel empowered in their treatment journey. Originally from Vadodara, India, Dr. Shah is fluent in Gujarati and Hindi in addition to English. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring art exhibits, working on DIY art projects and hiking — when the Arizona heat allows.
