History

We have been operating in Flagstaff since 1997. Founded by Ulla Lundgren, The Yoga Experience began by offering Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga classes a few times a week. Erin Widman joined the business in 2000 to offer classes based on the fundamentals of alignment so as to educate the community about the complexity of posture, the necessity of alignment and the philosophy behind this approach to self discovery. By 2004, Erin and Ulla had built enough interest and skill in the yoga community to support offering yoga teacher trainings. By 2005 the breadth of potent yoga teachers began to grow. We now support 15 teachers and over 35 classes a week, as well as yoga workshops taught by nationally renown teachers. We recently hae moved our studio to provide onsite parking, temperature controlled rooms, multiple classes at once. Our studio continues to have high ceilings with lots of natural light and beautiful views.
