Founded in 1910, Temple Emanu-El is the Arizona's first congregation and is located in Tucson, Ariz. It offers a wide range of programs, such as avodah initiative, sisterhood, Temple Emanu-El reform youth, Emanu-El LITE, chavurah, music, choir, band and outreach programs. It also offers an array of Shabbat services, from Tot Kabbalat Shabbat to Kabbalistic services to outreach to all-music Sabbaths, as well as full-festival services and programs. Additionally, it provides religious education from prekindergarten through grade eight in various subjects, including history, Torah studies, ethics, theology, customs, holidays, life-cycle events, Israel, and the holocaust. Temple Emanu-El has a library the offers a wide collection of non-fiction books, Jewish literature, newspapers and magazines.

I agree that Temple Emanu-El is not a welcoming place. Still looking too. Tucson doesn't seem a friendly Jewish place. Sad.

Totally agree with commenters about the lack of warmth from this congregation. As a snowbird, i attended Friday night and Saturday a.m. Services for a number of weeks and NOT ONE person ever...
