John B. Martin, PhD, is a psychologist at the Weight Management Clinic at Flagstaff Medical Center, a service of Northern Arizona Healthcare. Dr. Martin has passion for helping others. His expertise includes assessing, preparing and treating patients who are planning on having or who have had bariatric surgery. He is experienced in facilitating weight loss support groups and helping patients gain important knowledge about their health, the surgeries they are considering or recently had. His special interests lie in behavioral medicine/health psychology, bariatrics and psychophysiology.

Mingus Mountain Youth Treatment Center is a residential treatment center for emotionally and behaviorally at-risk adolescent girls that helps them achieve a positive, healthy future. Our program combines a trauma-informed organizational framework, caring staff, careful medical treatment, individualized psychotherapy and education, and numerous activities, including our unique equestrian program. Because many of the students who come to us have experienced significant trauma, our treatment team is specially trained to address these issues within a safe, structured, and nurturing environment. An emphasis on family therapy fosters successful reunification with families.
