HistoryTucson Circus Arts was formed from a partnership between its parent non-profit Many Mouths One Stomach and professional performance troupe Flam Chen Pyrotechnic Theater. Flam Chen is a troupe that specialize in large scale spectacle performance through the medium of circus. TCA instructors are all professional performers for Flam Chen. MMOS organizes the All Soul's Procession each year and its mission is spreading festal culture to the community. TCA is a bridge between the community and MMOS mission. It allows community members to learn circus arts for personal interest and to participate in community performances such as the All Soul's Procession. Since we began we have been teaching year round circus classes, summer camps and school and community group workshops.SpecialtiesTucson Circus Arts offers year round classes and summer camps for adults and children of all ages and levels of skill in a variety of circus arts. Our programs include Aerial Acrobatics: Silks, Trapeze, Lyra, Rope, Sling and more! Juggling and Twirling: Poi, Staff, Ball Juggling, Stick Juggling, Scarves, Contact Sphere! Balance and Acrobatics Skills: Globe Walking, Tightrope and Stilts! All of this in addition to dance, acrobatics, theater, clowning and performance skills gives students a well rounded performance and movement education. Circus arts is a diverse area of interest that has something to offer people of all ages, backgrounds and levels of physical skill. Our instructors come from a variety of backgrounds and have a high level of expertise in their fields.
