The Pima County Sheriff s Department (PCSD) is a public safety agency dedicated to the fundamental mission of law enforcement and adult detention services for Pima County in Arizona. Mission accomplishment is centered on providing response to calls for law enforcement services, preventive patrol, public assistance, criminal investigations and other special services, such as search and rescue and civil process. The mission also includes the safe, secure, and humane detention of all arrestees charged with non-federal crimes in Pima County, Arizona. PCSD employs more than 450 commissioned officers, hundreds of civilian and corrections personnel and utilizes the services of more than 300 volunteers. The Pima County Sheriff s Department is comprised of the operations, investigations, corrections and administrative bureaus.
