History

In the year 2020, when all was a mess, we chose to bring a little fun and comfort to world in the form of delicious hand-pies, aka: EMPANADAS :) . With only 329 sq ft of building, we had to pack a punch....so we went with a worldwide favorite comfort-food. (Just about every culture has a hand-held pie of some sort; and for good reason: they're portable, they're delish hot or cold, they reheat well and they're fast). Delicious handmade empanadas are PIEbar AZ's specialty. (EMPANADAS=hand pies! comfort food you hold in your hand!) Lovingly made in-house daily, featuring sweet and savory options. Try the Mountain Man, Mountain Mamma, Chicken Pot Pie, Strawberries and Cream or any of our other seasonal varieties. (Options change weekly as we introduce new recipes.) For traditional pie lovers we source whole pies from an excellent purveyor. Interesting beverages and cocktail choices are always available! PIEbar AZ aims to satisfy your hunger, provide some fun and keep you moving... situated in the idyllic mountain town of Strawberry, AZ, our bright/shiny clean (tiny) empanada joint wants you to feel welcomed: Free WIFI, spotless restrooms, lots of outdoor seating and DOG friendly.
