My personal approach to taking care of patients is to try to treat them the same whether a weekend warrior or a professional athlete. Although I am an Orthopedic surgeon, my passion is rather than treat injuries is to develop educational and outreach programs to help prevent injuries in young athletes.

When we meet I’ll try to understand the cause of your pain and your limitations during daily life, work, and recreational pursuits. Together, we will devise a treatment plan to try to get you back to your activities. Most conditions can be treated without surgery. For some conditions, surgery may be required. I’ll recommend a surgical plan using minimally invasive evidence based techniques to get the best results. Myself and my team are committed to your success. I enjoy educating and mentoring future orthopedic surgeons as chief of sports medicine and as associate clinical professor for University of Arizona College of Medicine Phoenix Orthopedic Residency Program.

My goal is to educate patients on different treatment options available to them. When the patient has a clear understanding, together we can make a treatment plan that best fits their goals and lifestyle.
