Paul MacDonald, MD

Kevin Choi, MD, is a neurologist in the Epilepsy Program and an assistant professor in the Department of Neurology at Barrow Neurological Institute. He is board certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Choi’s expertise includes the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy, with special interests in refractory epilepsy, trauma-induced and brain tumor-related epilepsy, epilepsy surgery, therapeutic devices, and critical care neurodiagnostic monitoring. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society, the American Epilepsy Society, and the Korean American Medical Association.

Ayushi Chugh, MD, FAAN, is a neurologist in the Gregory W. Fulton ALS and Neuromuscular Disease Center and an associate professor in the Department of Neurology at Barrow Neurological Institute. She is board certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Chugh specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), muscular dystrophy, neuropathies, and other neuromuscular disorders. She is experienced in electromyography and nerve conduction studies, as well as the administration of Botox to treat various symptoms of neuromuscular disorders. She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine.

Nicki Niemann, MD, is a neurologist in the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center and an assistant professor of neurology at Barrow Neurological Institute. He is board certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Niemann’s expertise includes the diagnosis and management of Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society. Dr. Niemann earned his medical degree from the University of Copenhagen in Denmark. He completed his neurology residency and a fellowship in movement disorders at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Dr. Niemann’s research interests include clinical trials and translational research in Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders, genetics of Parkinson’s disease, and novel applications of botulinum toxin.
