Patti Smith Photography

History

I started Patti Smith Photography in the fall of 2009. My second son was born in January that year, and I had been doing sports photography for about 8 years before that. However, I was incredibly lucky to have a friend who was also a photographer and who was practicing newborn photography. That spring she watched my little guy quite a few times! And of course I was going to let her practice newborn/baby photography with him! When I got back those first newborn pictures - I was floored! I was completely in love - and since he was so new, he was changing so fast! I knew these were images I would be bale to look back on to remember what he looked like when he was the tiniest little peanut baby boy! I wanted to be able to offer that feeling to other parents. I wanted more parents to have those images of their family, their children and themselves (for their kids to look back on!).
