Mr. Bakken was a journeyman carpenter before completing Architectural and Environmental Design Degrees from the University of Minnesota. Upon graduation he began a construction company specializing in restaurants, historic downtown warehouse renovation and residential projects including Parade of Homes. In 1986 the business moved to Phoenix. The first project was a Paradise Valley Home featured on the cover of the Paradise Valley City Magazine. Mr. Bakken maintained an crew of skilled tradesmen - self performing the majority of the work. A notable project was the renovation of Carefree Inn - renovation of more than 700 units using an in house crew of more than 35. For more than 10 years he completed restaurant projects including Chilis, Village Inn, Don & Charlies and many others. Project Management included Southwest Airlines, Las Vegas and Sky Harbor International Airports,
