Julia Trainor is an advanced registered nurse practitioner with EntireCare Rehab & Sports Medicine, a service of Northern Arizona Healthcare. She is located in Verde Valley Medical Center. Julia is responsible for assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients as well as providing health education. Through the occupational medicine program, she conducts medical evaluations and on-the-job injury care to the personnel of many community employers. She manages a wide variety of acute and chronic health issues in collaboration with other providers and members of the healthcare team to improve patient outcomes. Patients tell Julia they appreciate her compassion, excellent listening skills and ability to explain conditions and treatments in a manner they understand. Julia became a nurse practitioner in 2013 after working as a registered nurse for 10 years. She received an associate's in nursing from the Community College of Rhode Island in Newport, where she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society of Two-Year Colleges. While working full-time Julia earned a master's of nursing, nurse practitioner, from Florida Southern College in Lakeland, where she maintained a 4.0 grade point average and was a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
