Led by Ina M. Burmeister, Executive Director, The Western Health Foundation's mission is to serve as goodwill ambassadors to the community and to support Rehoboth McKinley Christian Health Care Services (RMCHCS) in its mission to serve God by making a profound and lasting difference in the health and quality of life for all people in the community. Projects we support are WellSpring Recovery Center, Reach Out and Read Program, Mobile Health Clinic, and the Rural Family Medicine Residency Program. The Foundation works to raise funds and has developed the region's only comprehensive Behavioral Health Unit which includes outpatient mental health services, a 90-day residential alcohol and substance abuse treatment program, a work rehabilitation program, an aftercare program and a transitional housing program. It has also raised funds to build a new emergency room, Intensive Care Unit, and modern laboratory for RMCHCS. The Foundation holds an annual fundraising event known as Charity Invitational to raise funds for new medical equipment, services, and programs.
