Navajo County Board of Supervisors is the governing body of the Navajo County in Arizona and is responsible for taking administrative, executive and quasi-judicial decisions. Located in Holbrook, Ariz., the board of supervisors hold public hearings on several issues concerning the county, including tax roll corrections, justice court reports, voucher list for payment, back tax land deeds, and consideration and approval of personnel actions. A copy of the agenda background material provided to the board, with the exception of items to be considered in executive session, is made available for public inspection. Navajo County is divided into five districts and each has a separate supervisor. The county was formed in 1895 and its prime industries are tourism, coal mining, manufacturing, timber production and ranching. The county has several departments assisting in its functioning and governance, including human resources, information technology, public health services, sheriff department, public works, and parks and recreations department.
