My approach to patient care is to place the patient at the center of the team. I like to involve patients in the decision making process regarding their cardiac care. Whether we are deciding with medications to start or what advanced therapies to pursue, I always tell patients that they know themselves better than I do, and we will work together as a team to determine their plan of care.
