Ugh. Gross af. Got the chilaquiles. Noooooo. Not real authentic Mexican food. The sauce was like old thick sloppy canned sauce. Not even the chips and salsa was good. Not even the sprite fountain...

I was shocked and disappointed to see that the restaurant is a walk up and order. They used to be a full service restaurant with unlimited chips and salsa. The camaraderie is what made this place...

Since 1962, La Canasta has served real authentic Mexican food that doesn't disappoint. I had breakfast, and everything was hot and fresh, including the tortillas. The portions are huge--come hungry!
