Established in 1947, WAUD is one of the oldest radio stations in Alabama that airs community and local news for its listeners. It operates at a radio frequency of 1230 AM. The station airs a variety of music programs. It broadcasts programs of various artists, including Bob Sanders, Edward P. Morgan and Paul Harvey. WAUD offers live listening options for sports programs. Its shows include Mark s on the Air, The Mark Sawyer Show and Last Word in Sports. The station also provides online schedules and advertising options. WAUD is owned and operated by Tiger Communications, which also manages the WTGZ 95.9 radio station.
