History

Roger Kortman and his son Ken started Kortman Electric on March 1, 1983. He had worked in the electrical industry his entire career, including many years in the field and eventually managing the operations at Liberty Electric. They started the company with a work truck, a few tools, and the kitchen table for an office. One of the first projects was a small mini-storage in Apache Junction, which in those days was a long drive out Apache Blvd. Kortman Electric continued its growth and now manages over one hundred employees. The Company has expanded the services they provide, including Federal, state/local municipalities, aviation, medical, correctional, manufacturing/production, baggage handling/conveyors, office and retail, tenant improvement, LED retrofits, solar installations, and a variety of special systems (fire alarm, security, data). Kortman Electric is committed to helping our clients achieve the best value for their investment today and for the future.
