Renee Mercer, DO, is a board-certified internal medicine, pediatrics and obesity medicine physician. She specializes in metabolic health, lifestyle medicine and pediatric obesity, offering comprehensive, evidence-based care. Her services include nutritional, behavioral and lifestyle counseling, medication management and weight management before and after bariatric surgery. She is also an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), bringing added insight for breastfeeding mothers navigating weight concerns. Her clinical interests include research, education and advocacy. Dr. Mercer takes a personalized, collaborative approach to care, working closely with patients and their families to identify the root causes of weight concerns. Her individualized treatment plans focus on achieving and maintaining a healthy weight to improve overall well-being, emphasizing sustainable, evidence-based strategies that support long-term success. Originally from San Diego, California, Dr. Mercer enjoys traveling, cooking, listening to live music and spending time with her husband and three children.
