The Independent Aikido Alliance (IAA) is an un-organization founded by Gary Boaz Sensei in Phoenix, AZ. It was created to provide a supportive community for serious budoka who are frustrated with the inflated egos, politics, and lack of integrity in traditional martial arts organizations. The IAA focuses on teaching the Art of Peace, developing positive relationships, and training aikido as a martial art applicable to modern times.
Gary Boaz, the Founder and Chief Instructor of the Independent Aikido Alliance, has been involved in the martial arts world since 1991. He developed Kyusho Aikido and believes in the importance of maintaining peace and harmony through responsible and compassionate training. The IAA aims to build a network of aikido instructors who sincerely desire to improve the lives of their students and continue to evolve traditional aikido techniques for the modern world.
