History

With over 15 years experience as a nurse practitioner specializing in neuroscience, Dr. Heather McCoy launched Integrative Headache Care, the first headache-only medical specialty practice in the state of Arizona to be owned and operated by a nurse practitioner. Located in an upscale shopping and dining complex (The Scottsdale Quarter), Dr. McCoy's practice offers a welcome alternative to the traditional medical office setting, with soothing elements of wood, glass, and leather. Concierge-like services such as direct provider access, extended office visits, and eVisit video follow-up appointments are standard, and most insurance plans are accepted.

Dr. Heather McCoy is an Adult Nurse Practitioner who specializes in headache disorders such as migraine, cluster, medication overuse, and post-traumatic headaches. As one of only three nurse practitioners in the US with added certification in headache medicine granted by the National Headache Foundation, Dr. McCoy has conceptualized and designed a truly unique clinic environment that emphasizes wellness and defies disability. Treatment, including prescription medication management, peripheral nerve blocks, Botox injections, dietary supplementation, physical therapy & massage, aromatherapy, and biofeedback are guided by academic research supported by the American Headache Society, The National Headache Foundation, The American Academy of Neurology, and The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. We accept commercial and industrial insurance plans, Medicare, and personal injury cases.
