Operational since 1996, House of Refuge is a non-profit organization providing transitional housing/supportive services to homeless individuals and families. Based in Mesa, Ariz., the organization also offers social service and work programs. It focuses on employment/education, financial literacy, life skills and permanent housing, to name a few. House of Refuge offers domestic violence shelters, transitional/housing for men only, rental assistance and recovery programs, among others.
