Gateway Academy is a private preschool serving the educational needs of students with nonverbal learning disorders. Located in Scottsdale, Ariz., it specializes in dealing with students with Asperger s syndrome, high functioning autism and pervasive developmental disorders (PDD). The school s academic offerings include project based curriculum, integrated time management/organizational skills program and individual student portfolios, among others. In addition, it provides pragmatic language therapy, integrated sensory integration therapy, daily conversational Spanish/cultural studies, equine therapy and more. Gateway Academy is a member of the National Association of Private Special Education Centers.
