The Franciscan Renewal Center (also known as “The Casa”) is a spiritual oasis for renewal, rest, and prayer that is open to everyone, regardless of faith. It was founded as a Catholic retreat center, called Casa de Paz y Bien (the Casa), by the Order of Friars Minor in 1951. It remains an active religious community that seeks to follow in the footsteps of Saints Francis and Clare of Assisi. The Casa is a sponsored ministry of the Province of St. Barbara and works cooperatively with the Diocese of Phoenix. Activities include: • Weekday (Mon. - Fri.) and Weekend Masses at Our Lady of the Angels Church • Meetings and retreats for religious and nonprofit groups • Private retreats • Educational retreats and special events • Therapy, counseling, and support groups • Faith formation • Volunteer ministries in service of the poor and vulnerable • Spiritual direction
