El Rio dates back to the 1930’s and was the original site for the PGA’sTucson Open. The course was operated as a country club until 1968when the City of Tucson acquired it for public use. El Rio's straightforward par-70 layout, which measures 6,013 yards from the regular tees and 6,418 yards from the back tees, features tight fairways, small greens, flat terrain, many trees and two lakes.

Probably the worst kept course I played and is crazy that they're charging 42 bucks in June at 4pm. Barely any grass, would not go back

This review is for the Disc Golf course. El Rio is beautiful but only being able to reserve a tee time after 2pm is total BS! It's nice to have carts but you play hole for hole with the ball...

A very well-maintained municipal golf course in Tucson. Nicely laid out and not overly challenging, but you have to mind the traps around a few of the holes. Reasonably priced, and helpful...
