Founded in 1920, Disabled American Veterans helps the disabled veterans and its families to live a better life. Based in Phoenix, Ariz., the organization represents over 200,000 veterans and its dependents with claims for benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs and Defense. It offers voluntary services program through a network of volunteers who provides free rides to and from VA medical facilities to improve care for the sick and disabled veterans. Disabled American Veterans members provide advocacy, lawmakers and the public about important issues to supporting services and legislation to help the needy.

Disabled American Veterans

Operational since 1920, Disabled American Veterans is a charitable trust that serves disabled veterans and military personnel. Located in Mesa, Ariz., the organization provides benefits assistance to veterans and their families, homeless veterans, soldiers, sailors, mariners, airmen, guardsmen and officers. It has served disaster relief to veterans suffering from terrorist attacks, Gulf Coast hurricanes, Iowa floods, tornados and fires. Additionally, the organization offers mobile service offices to avoid long trips and information seminars for veterans. Disabled American Veterans conducts the Jesse Brown Memorial Youth Scholarship Program for students. The Better Business Bureau (BBB) accredited organization s partners include NFL, General Electric, Ford, Golden Corral Buffet & Grill, Harley Davidson and Major League Baseball.
