History
Digital Art Solutions was established in January 2000 by the brother and sister team of Craig and Nicole Mertens. Digital Art Solutions is the successor company to Smart Designs, Inc. which was founded by their father, Steve Mertens in 1992. Steve Mertens passed away in December of 1999. Craig and Nicole took over and formed Digital Art Solutions on January 1, 2000. Under the direction of Craig and Nicole, Digital Art Solutions continues to market products and services that assist with graphics production for the apparel decoration, sign making, awards and promotional products industries. In January of 2000, Digital Art Solutions formed a sales division to market apparel decorations systems on a national basis. In 2008, Digital Art Solutions introduced the patent pending Stone Stencil Rhinestone Heat Transfer System. Digital Art Solutions invented the process of creating a rhinestone heat transfers with a vinyl cutter. Since 2008, over 4,000 companies have invested in this system.

Software was good when it worked, but when there was a support issue, it was a challenge. I have upgrade the hard drive in my computers and have lost the install code for some of the graphics...

don't purchase anything from this company - i've been a customer of the original compay digital art solutions since 2000 - they will not service their proprietary software (stone cut pro 3)...

I was told to upgrade my corel by their staff to Corel Draw 2017 because I had a free smart designer upgrade to fix windows 10 problems. Paid to update the Corel and apparently the person who told...

Stay away. We have spent a lot of money on software and rhinestone supplies with this company. The first sign there is a problem is when you call for support and they have a salesman help you....
