Board-certified pediatric dentist Steven Petruzzi, DDS, provides high-quality dental care in a welcoming, fun environment. He graduated from St. Marys College in Moraga, California, and received his dental degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.After dental school, Petruzzi attended a General Practice Residency through Brown University at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. He then completed his Pediatric Dental Training at Childrens Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Having enough of the cold weather and snow, he moved to Phoenix to get back to the desert and hot weather. After working for a few years, Dr. Petruzzi was ready to open his own office.Being a true kid at heart, he knows having fun is a top priority. It is his goal to make the dental visit fun and enjoyable. At Desert Kids Dentistry, Dr. Petruzzi emphasizes preventive care. He offers preventive visits and six-month checkups as well as comprehensive first visits for children after their first tooth erupts.Dr. Petruzzi is married to his wife, Selena, and has three children, Benjamin, Caraline, and Alison. He stays active in the community by coaching youth sports. In his spare time, he enjoys working out, obstacle and trial races, anything sports-related, and spending time with his family.Dr. Petruzzi belongs to the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, as well as the local chapters of those groups.
