History

Dr. Hatton owned the practice until the early 1990s. Tom Wilson, OD bought the practice in the early 1990s. He practices in Casa Grande, but opened this as a satellite office and named it Tempe Vision Center. John D. Pearson, OD started working here in 1999. He bought the practice in 2004 and renamed it Desert Family Eyecare. In 2010, the name was shortened to Desert Eye.

At Desert Eye, you are our guest as soon as you walk in the door. Our friendly staff and comfortable environment allows us to provide you with premium eye care, great optical products, and excellent service. Our optometrists are meticulous when determining your eyeglass and contact lens prescriptions. They are always aware of potential eye health problems such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, dry eyes, allergic eyes, pink eye, and a variety of other conditions. We provide a comprehensive evaluation for every patient which usually takes about 90 minutes. We have two pediatric optometrists. They examine children as young as 6 months. They offer vision therapy to those that need it as well. Under the guise of different owners and different names, this practice has been here for almost 40 years.
