Cortez High School

Founded in 1960, Cortez High School is operated by the Glendale Union High School District and offers enrollment to more than 1,000 students in grades nine through 12. It organizes various events, such as prom, homecoming, Christmas dance and Valentine s dance. It also offers participation in a wide range of activity clubs and organizations, including band, choir, chorus, drama, stage crew, student council, the National Honor Society and cheerleading. The school offers various games and sports, such as soccer, basketball, track, tennis, softball, baseball, golf, volleyball, wrestling, swimming and cross country. The school s curriculum includes classes in applied technology, business and computer applications, counseling and guidance, and career and technical education, English language, and family and consumer sciences.
