Congregation Anshei Israel was founded in 1930, and is located in Tucson, Ariz. The congregation has operated under the spiritual leadership of Rabbi Marcus Breger and Cantor Maurice Falkow. Congregation Anshei Israel provides various services, including daily, Shabbat and festival services, family Shabbat services, Shabbat study program, torah study, and adult and junior choirs. It also provides Shabbat and holiday dinners, scholars-in-residence, holiday workshops, family education workshops, concerts, dinner dances, art shows, and book discussions. It runs an award-winning preschool and kindergarten, a religious school, an award-winning united synagogue youth, offering group activities for grades four through 12. It also offers junior congregation, adult education classes, including adult B'nai mitzvah program.
