The Colorado River Indian Tribes Environmental Protection Office (CRIT EPO) is dedicated to preserving and safeguarding the environment within the Colorado River Indian Reservation in Parker, AZ. Working collaboratively with tribal, state, local, and federal entities, the CRIT EPO team upholds environmental quality standards to ensure the safety and well-being of the CRIT communities, implementing programs and activities that contribute to a healthier environment for future generations.

Spanning 45 miles in length and 12 miles in width, the CRIT Reservation boasts an impressive 114 linear miles of Colorado River shoreline, over 200 acres of wetlands, and an extensive network of irrigation canals and drains. Under the Nonpoint Source Control Program, the CRIT EPO is developing regulations to address diffuse pollution sources, such as agriculture, urban development, and mining, which are currently the primary causes of water quality degradation on the Reservation.
